I jogged two miles for many years. I reached a point where that became excessive for me. I realized the Navy and Air Force only required 1 1/2 mile runs for their warriors. I went to that model and it was perfect.
Since then, I had major spine surgery so I can’t jog. I spend my days enjoying 15-30 minute walks with loved ones.
If you are advanced in your athletics, do a mile and a half. If you are novice, beat up, or obese, maybe do a leisurely stroll. Do something.
Application for fathers: try a walk with your teen and just listen to them.
